THE NEW & IMPROVED AUSTIN MUSIC HALL IS OPEN FOR MUSIC!

Direct Events is excited to announce that on Monday, November 26th at 6pm the new and improved Austin Music Hall opened its doors to the public for the first time since rebuilding began in May 2007. The NEW Austin Music Hall has expanded in size from 22,000 square feet to approximately 43,000 square feet, increasing the new total seating capacity to approximately 3,000 and the new total general admission capacity to 4,400.

Improvements include:

• Expanded Mezzanine level
• Multiple full-service bars
• Terrace overlooking Nueces Street
• Upgraded (chilled water based) climate control system
• Performance stage doubled in size
• New artist dressing rooms
• Interior design will better accommodate private and special events
• Exclusive club & box seating, the Tower Club and Moontower Suites

Since the Opening Celebration in November 07, Direct Events has continued to work to complete the new venue. DE is working to install sound system upgrades and risers on the mezzanine level to improve the over all concert experience in this state of the art building. These finishing touches will be in place in the coming months.
